Harakeke Boutique Accommodation

The apartment is a separate wing attached to our house with its own entrance, it is private and self contained and we designed it for guests to enjoy a retreat in the countryside with the Kahurangi mountains as a backdrop.

You’ll see our best direct rate shown in the booking calendar. We have a minimum 2 night stay. A weekly rate is also available which saves you 10%. Please refer to our cancellation policy in our terms and conditions. We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard or American Express and use Stripe as our secure payment handler. We also accept payment by international bank transfer using Wise.com. All rates shown include GST (goods and services tax).

We included all the facilities to create a space for our guests to relax, dine and enjoy what our property has to offer.

The living room with kitchen, a bar fridge, inbuilt sound system and gas fire is designed for relaxing.

The bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and ensuite with a walk-in shower designed for comfort.

Both rooms open out to a private outdoor deck with a Spa and outdoor dining setting with a Weber BBQ with separate outdoor fire.

While the apartment is set up perfectly for a couple we do offer an optional additional bedroom if a second couple or third person is travelling with you. This bedroom also has its own ensuite bathroom. This additional bedroom and ensuite is $200 per night.

We stock the bar fridge with some welcome drinks and leave a small cheese platter for guests to enjoy. Your breakfast is catered for as we leave juice, fruit, cereals, yoghurt, milk and  toast with condiments in your apartment ready for you to enjoy at your leisure in the mornings each day. There is also a selection of teas, a Nespresso machine or plunger coffee if you prefer

There is a pool on the property you are welcome to use and also a pétanque court if you fancy a game over a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon. You may like to take a short walk around the property down to the lily pond or simply relax on your own deck and watch the tūī feed on the Harakeke

The village of Upper Moutere which boasts the oldest pub in New Zealand is just over 3km away. There are also some lovely wineries and restaurants, Moutere Hills restaurant and cellar door one of our favourites. Gravity winery is a hop, skip and a jump from us, a lovely way to spend an afternoon with some awesome views.

It is about a 10 minute drive down to Mapua wharf and village where you will find some interesting shops, great restaurants and a really cool wine bar

We are also fairly close to the Tasman Great Taste bike trail, and there are some lovely beaches a short drive away. The world famous Abel Tasman National Park is best accessed by water taxi or sea shuttle which leave from Kaiteriteri beach which is an easy (and scenic) 35 minute drive away.
